Rostov-on-Don. Sunday walk Lots of photos

I flew to Rostov a little more than one month ago. I didn’t like it at all from the taxi window on the way from the airport. An ordinary gray post-Soviet city with stupid signboards. Of course, that's true. I like the combination of the old pre-revolutionary architecture and the new one in Rostov. This makes the city picturesque and distinctive.

Hotel Moscow, Rostov-on-Don

I live on Pushkina Street in Bendery. Just across the street from my house is Gorky Park. In Rostov, I rent an apartment on Pushkinskaya Street and in 2 blocks - a park named after whom? All right 😊

I walked along Pushkinskaya Street through the park and came out on Bolshaya Sadovaya Street. The park is unremarkable.

Then I went in the direction of the Cathedral, through Soborniy Pereulok. Beautiful central street. Many cafes and shops. Garlands are stretched along the entire length of the street. Hipsters are walking around.

Cafe Keks, Rostov

☕ Cafe "Keks". The most delicious coffee in the city I drank here

The streets and neighborhoods in the downtown area are similar to Istanbul. Only there are not a lot of policemen and beggars.

As in any other city, if you turn a corner, you'll find yourself in a ghetto.

Great luck to find a mattress near the trash cans 👍

Everything is perfect here

I returned to Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and walked towards Voroshilovsky Prospekt. Just look at these buildings!

I got tired and went to 🍔 Burger King. I began to cheat McDonald's more often.
I returned back through Budennovsky Prospekt.

Photos from the fair of all sorts of Soviet trash will be later. And also photos from the embankment. And then from Pushkinskaya Street.
